Journalism I, II & III

Journalism classes provide students a unique opportunity to collaborate and work as a team to produce work not only for themselves, but for the larger school community.  Students collaborate on each bi-monthly edition of the Student Magazine, Inscape, highlighting personal, community, and news stories. Each edition provides students an opportunity to cover a different topic from Sports writing to Editorial writing. Students work on the layouts, imagery, and writings for each edition that is distributed to the entire school. Journalism students also plan and create the school yearbook showcasing the major highlights of the year. Students work on creating stories, photographing, and creating page spreads on each event, sport and club throughout the school. Each year, students select a yearbook theme that is displayed through the imagery, fonts, colors and layouts. At the end of the year, students get to distribute the yearbooks to the school community-an artifact of an entire year of hard work, dedication and collaboration!
